Personal choice is a big issue in today’s world, and corporations that are concerned with a Corporate Image have two choices. They can outfit their employees for identity (corporate choice of similar styles, colors or fabrics — Reflections) or for a professional image (individual choice of many styles, colors and fabrics — Ingenuity).

What Are Uniforms/Corporate Apparel?

When you think of uniforms, do you envision a fast food operation or servers in a chain restaurant?

Actually, unless you desire group uniformity, corporate apparel, in today’s corporate world, cannot be distinguished from any other professional apparel. A suit is a suit, a basic dress is a basic dress, black is always black and uniforms or corporate apparel is simply a way to establish a Corporate Image.

Uniforms Don't Have to Be Uniform

Ingenuity Black

Corporate apparel is fashionable, functional, durable garments designed and engineered for repeated wear in today’s workplace. While the apparel is uniform, it does not have to be identical.

Caravan Fashions does not supply uniforms. There are thousands of sites for those. Most of them say they supply Corporate Apparel when actually they supply business casual or a very limited range of blazers and bottoms. Other than the Women's Business Casual and Men's Business Casual, our specialty is Corporate Apparel/Suiting, both in-stock and custom cut to order. Ingenuity, Christian Brooks, Reflections and our Hardwick's Men’s Suits/Separates offer examples of these sources.

Why Corporate Apparal?

Ingenuity Black

There is a growing awareness of the importance of Corporate Image and the need to direct and actively fashion that image. The first impression of an employee’s appearance is equally as important as the impression of the building entrance, lobby, façade and initial greeting to your prospective clients. For more information, see Psychology of a Professional Image.

Many times we have only a few brief moments to instill trust and make a positive, lasting impression. As a result, many companies are now using Corporate Apparel to enhance this image while improving and promoting overall appearance. Corporate apparel can be used for corporate identity, to meet dress code requirements, for security reasons, to supply an attractive fringe benefit (at no cost to the employer (See Corporate Image).
